There are a variety of learning pathways that professionals follow to learn IFS. The IFS Institute is the primary continuing education organization that offers rigorous and comprehensive training for therapists. For a therapist to become 'IFS Certified', they must complete a Level 1 training as well as significant additional education and consultation.

Therapists can learn IFS through other educational opportunities and become very skilled. What matters most is how you feel with the person you are working with. If certification or specific educational experience is important to you, please inquire with the person you are considering working with directly or check the IFS Institute directory.
